I encourage you to look around my website. You’ll find lots of information about me and my philosophies. If you’re interested in my programs, please be assured I have a proven system that will take you from stuck and frustrated to freedom and joy, if you’re willing to do the work.

You are the driver of our relationship but I don’t believe this work can be accomplished in a helter-skelter approach. There is a simple process that seems to work best with my clients.

Initial Consultation

We will begin with an initial discussion of no more than sixty minutes. This discussion is designed to get to know each other a bit and to answer any questions you may have. If you want to work with me, I will send you a Welcome Package, containing our Coaching Agreement, my Code of Ethics, and an intake questionnaire. We will also set up our first appointment (or a series of appointments if you prefer). In return, you will send me your results from the assessment in my ebook, FROM WHERE YOU ARE TO WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.

First Coaching Appointment

In the first session, we will explore your answers to the questionnaire, your results and your reactions to having your life-role defined. Does it fit for you? Why or why not? What did you learn from the book and assessment? Surprises? We’ll continue to refer to these results in subsequent sessions, but with decreasing frequency as you find your stride and move out of the morass of being stuck at the crossroads.

Subsequent Appointments

Our initial conversations will include the ways your learned role/stress management techniques have got you into this quandary. But you are always welcome to bring any topic for discussion to our sessions. Something bothering you? Put it on the table. Confused about something? Let me know. Frustrated, annoyed and ticked off with the work, me or the process? That’s also fair game, so let me know and we’ll chat about it. Alternately, conversations centered on wins, successes and new ways of responding are also great. Coaching is a client-driven process so our conversations will always be at your direction but will always have the underlying goal of freeing you from the frustration that brought you to coaching in the first place.

Length of Each Session

Sessions are guaranteed to be forty five minutes each, but will usually go for an hour, unless one or the other of us specifically requests a shorter time. They will occur over the phone, although we may use electronic media occasionally, depending on our schedules.

Each session will begin with a check in of where you are in the moment and we’ll end with a summary of our time together and a commitment from you of your next step.

Length of a typical coaching agreement

It’s up to you. Generally the best outcomes occur when we work together on a weekly basis, especially in the beginning. You will be learning lots and experiencing a broad range of emotions, so feedback and support are vital.

There are distinct benefits derived from committing to at least three months of coaching on either a weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure you get the best results from our time together. However, I’m a realist and I know few of us are willing to make an extended commitment to something totally new. Besides, some clients will only need a few appointments to bust through their blocks, while others may want the support for a longer period, since there’s no end to growth and expansion. It’s always up to you.
